Who you gonna Call
Interesting idea and of course who doesn't love a good ghost story. lighting is really hard to do when you are trying to make a night time scene look night time when you don't have lighting. The power is out and that was a nice way to say hey there isn't any light in here. However, it isn't night because its dark, it is night time because it has high contrast. Nice work with the flashlights to light faces. This has been done in many films and works really well. Nice Work!!
Valiant Try with Heavy Dialogue
Trying to make a film with heavy dialogue, especially a thriller is really difficult. I commend the Writer and Director for trying to take a story like this on!
The cinematography needs work, the continuity between shots and having coverage to tell the story seemed lacking. There were times when the framing was very off with heads being cut off and drastic backlighting that was distracting.
I liked the twist at the end when the hunter figured out the real clue. It was a nice misdirect.
Great film!
This was fun, snappy writing, good acting, fun camera angles. Not much to complain about. I would say try to make your conversations more interesting, don't soot it all in a wide shot, or if you do add movement to it to keep it interesting.
Keep it up! Make more!
Don't trust the lady in blue
I can tell this film took a lot of preparation and teamwork. I like that you tried out several different types of shot styles such as the dolly and handheld. I wish he dinning room scene had have been darker outside so the power going out was more dramatic, but I got the idea and it was a good effort. I thought this had great writing and everyone was included in the scene with their dialogue. Good job.
Nice Concept
You have a great concept here that just needed a little more planning on the execution side. The scenes in the basement would have really worked with a couple practical lights taking us from light to shadow. It's ok to lose your actors in darkness but you also want to be able to see them on occasion which you can accomplish with a light here and there. Work on getting your camera moves smoother and editing your shots a little tighter. Keep working on it and you'll get there. Nice effort.
Ghost With The Blue Dress On
I really liked how you had really long single camera setups, just like Hitch. Well done! The setup of the story was pretty vague though and asks the audience to just jump in and not care what that first scene was all about. Who was that woman in the opening scene? Who were the two who came over? What are all these relationships and why are each of them important to the story. There were a few moments where you managed to create a really nice Hitchcock tone. Well done!
