Staring Adam Sandler

If Hitchcock could have cast Adam Sandler, this is what would have been produced. I think a bit more time could have been spent in development crafting a story and structure that made more sense. Although the guys were somewhat funny, it didn't seem to match what the prompt outlined. I didn't understand the archer or how she saved their lives. It all left me a bit confused. What was the key to exactly? That being said, the chase stuff was fun and the archery sounds were cool.

Bold Choices

You made bold choices and fully committed to it. I like that kind of commitment in filmmakers yet you didn't quite hit the target. You chose to go really broad with the acting and that choice could have worked if the story had been developed quite a bit more. As a viewer I was unclear as to your storyline. Spending more time in development, really pounding out your concept is a critical step to the rest of your success. Keep making bold choices.

Women, always cleaning up for the men

I like that you guys did a comedy. The locations were beautiful and allowed you to do a lot. You had some good camera shots and I liked that you were not afraid to film under a bridge. Nice job everyone.

Bold Choices

I really like the fact that you made a bold choice with going slapstick. It's not much in the vein of Hitchcock but it's a bold choice none-the-less. If you're going to go with that then you really have to commit. It has a bit of a Three Stooges feel and thus it felt period to me and seeing them in contemporary clothing it was hard for me to go with you. Period or not it didn't quite work. The story could have used quite a bit of polishing for it to come together for me. Keep making films.

The Savings Grace of a Good Beat Sheet

I really like the idea of someone behind the scenes helping to guide a couple of idiots through something that they're clearly not capable of doing. That's a fun idea but it didn't quite work for me. The place to figure that out is with the beat sheet. The beat sheet is early on in the process and the time to decide what's going to happen in your plot. Make sure you don't leave the beat sheet phase until your story is really solid. You guys could have spent more time honing those beats.
