Suspence is Building

The acting in this little film wasn't bad. I think you could have trimmed up some of the monologue. It feels like he's searching. I would like to have been in on the whole ghost thing though. I didn't really understand it. Why was he so scared. He wasn't that scared in the monologue. I liked how the suspense was building as they walked towards the door. I think you could have lengthened that out a bit with some inserts. The lighting at the end was also interesting as they got to the door

The Look and Feel of Hitchcock

Congratulations on really nailing the look and feel of your film. I like how you shot it in black and white and your choice of lighting was spot on for Hitchcock. Your music choice was also right there creating the needed tension. Where it fell short was in the writing. Hitchcock was not much a director of the surreal. Your choices were bold in that direction and just didn't quite work. Take this same look and feel and add a full story and you would have nailed it.

This got dark fast.

I like the choice to do black and white. The music was a good choice. It was a bit slow and I do not know why there was wind that also hurt the sound. The overall effort was great!

Not sure why.

I am more confused after watching this. Not sure why I should care about the characters at all. The sound was so intrusive that I wasn't able to stay focused on what was being said. Also where are we? Why are we there, and when did this thing happen that causes us to watch.

The Look of Hitchcock

You did a great job getting the right look. The lights and shadow are great. Lighting on the shrink is perfect. Beautiful. You even have great Hitchcock angles (though make sure they're motivated. If you're going to go super low, why). I would have like to have seen a little thicker plot for your story and the performance of you patient was a bit rough. That could have been polished quite a bit with some major rehearsal and then the cerebral style might have worked. You have talent. Keep going.
