Great film
I really liked the film. Nice job!!
I'm reviewing on the film Drive
I love this film it left me waiting for part 2 to come out.
The ending was great to me
Uber Creepy
This was quite nicely put together. I love how you only see the driver's eyes. Seemed strange that it was a woman. Most serial killers are men. Still, the dialogue was playful and built the suspense well. The audio was a bit rough back and forth.
Great Writing
I really thought that the strong point of this project was the writing of it. It has a great beginning, middle and end. I can tell the filmmakers took their time in development to get something good and I really appreciate that. The audio could have been sweetened. Loved how we never really saw the killer very well.
Very Hitchcock!
I think this film really captured the Hitchcock spirit. It took the whole show to build up the tension. Nicely done. I think the audio could have been better but the acting wasn't bad and the script was pretty well crafted.
Time to get out.
Well played putting this whole film in a car. One location and we get the point. The story was nicely opened up to us and didn't give away the ending until our main character is on the page of what is really happening. Great shot selection and framing. WE didn't need to see her mouth moving and the mirror shot of just her eyes gave us what we needed. Great work!
Drive.....
Interesting idea, I thought it was interesting that you were able to shoot the entire film inside of the car. well thought out. the acting was pretty good but i didn't feel like there was any tension or danger. if you were to shoot this at night automatically the danger would go up. the script needs to have this moment when the audience feels that the passenger is in danger. im missing that. all in all a really good film but falls a bit short.
You Drove This One Home
Excellent Work! Very impressed with everything you've done her. You REALLY applied the prompt and embodied Hitchcock for sure. You music created the perfect tension and the ADR was incredibly impressive. Great character work with your scientist and I love the choice of camera work in not showing the driver/killer. A well written, complete storyline with a cliffhanger. Though you were dealing with the topic of violence you handled it beautifully. The power of suggestion is always more impactful!
Made Me Smile
I liked the camera angles these filmmakers chose. They helped build the suspense and never gave me enough information to fumble the story. The acting was good as well. The guy seemed to be channeling Woody Allen and I loved how the driver's face was never fully seen in the mirror. The sound could have been better as I'm guessing the whole thing was looped. Impressive ADR though. It's not easy to record your dialogue and have it match. Some ambient car noise would have helped mask it.
