Just a spot of tea!
From the get go, I can tell this film is a period piece by the clothes, production design, and props. Well done on that aspect. I like your sound cues and music. The mailbox shot in the beginning was well done and nice to see. The only thing I would add is to mix the sound levels on the phone calls a tad more so the levels are not as jarring from the rest of the shots. But overall this was well done and very thought out.
Who Done it?
You did it! Great effort and great concept. You did a lot of things right and I want to congratulate you for that: great shot in the mailbox, the music was very Hitchcock, loved your attention to the period set dressing, wardrobe, I loved the silhouette shot of the guy putting the pictures on the wall, you did some great things with lighting, etc. etc. Watch for the jump cuts. They will take your audience out of it and just keep polishing your work. Other than a few rough edges, nice work!
Loved The Details
First off, I liked the B&W. I loved the attention to period props and wardrobe. There were times when the acting was very good and others when it didn't quite work. I liked how you took a pretty complicated story and fed the audience little by little until we get the full picture. That's not easy. Great job!
