Review This Film
Be a Critic Every film here was made by a student who took a risk. Your job is to engage with it seriously — rate the craft, write something honest, and mean it. Scores are blind until all reviewers are in. Nobody sees anything until everyone has spoken. That's the deal.

The Verdict Every score you see here was written without anyone knowing what the others would say. No groupthink. No piling on. Five independent voices, revealed all at once. Read the reviews, not just the numbers — that's where the real feedback lives.
The Concept is Solid

I liked the concept of this project. The audio made it hard to hear what was going on. I think you could have used a little more coverage so you could cut back and forth between characters. I would like to have seen a bit of the graduation. I can tell the filmmakers have a passion for telling stories. I can't wait to see what they make next.
A Nice Concept

I really liked your concept though I was a little confused why they stopped talking with Christopher. Spend a little more time in development to make sure that your story is fully fleshed out. One thing you can do to really help you see where the holes are in the logic is by doing a table read. Have your actors read your script out loud to you. Nice effort though. I loved your lighting effect. Keep honing your skills by continuing to make films.
Intriguing but could have used a better poster

I liked the premise of this project but it stumbled through what seemed like a rushed script. It was almost there but each scene was a touch clumsy and didn't quite work. I think with some extra time spent in development this show would have been 100x better. I really liked the concept and I think these kids were on to something quite cool but it didn't quite get there. The audio is another place that could use some love. I want to see what this team does next.
A Happy Accident-One to Study

I want to point out greatness in your film. An amazing shot: the girl sitting on the lawn. A happy accident but still great and here's why. Great composition. She's sitting on the lawn (center of frame)= she's alone yet in a sea of green (life/hope). Yet her head is in brown (lonely) but horizontal fence lines pointing her head to heaven (her lost friend). See what you did? That's kind of thought that should go into every shot you shoot. Beautiful. Next time, think about every shot like that!
The Importance of Coverage

You have a good idea here and a story that could be filled with emotion but it falls short and here's why: No coverage. All your scenes are shot from one angle. Emotion is created through timing of cuts and going back and forth to each of the actors when you want the audience to feel something for them. Everything right now is in profile (a master shot), the least emotional angle possible. I want to see their faces and their emotion. 2 more angles and you could have built some nice emotion.
