Bluffing Out of It

average rating is 1.6 out of 5

There's a good idea here but you really needed to take the story further. Really polish the dialogue so that it goes back and forth from the audience thinking they know he's the killer to doubting and then finally when we see the jewelry in the car it's final. Then the audience will really be thinking, "Get out of there" when he shows up in the mirror.

not sure what is goin on

I am not sure the story is coming through. If the guy is a killer I am feeling like we are being read lines. I didn't really feel for ether character or wonder what really happen. Also lighting should help push the feeling of the scene, not illuminate. We are looking into a black hole behind the table and I am still wondering why we are not at a birthday party.

Look behind you!

This film was well thought out and planned. I like the choices in camera shots and the use of insert shots to show the action. I would have liked to see an over the shoulder shot from each of the men when they are talking and playing cards. I like the rearview mirror reveal, very sneaky. Well done!

It's all in the Bluff

You've got a good concept here. It just needs to be fleshed out a bit. I love the idea of doing the whole scene around a card game. It really gives you the freedom to do more. With that freedom it would have been nice to really play with different camera angles to bring a simple scene to life. Really telling your story and creating tension through the camera. Great shots using the mirror to help tell it. Good job.

I Loved The Ending

This had a nice Hitchcock feel to it. I liked the writing. It gave some pretty good understanding to the story. The dialogue really drove the story, much like Hitch. The audio had a bit too much room tone in it and I think the lighting around the table should have been more dramatic and set at night. I really could have used some closeups on each of these characters and some artistic shots on the game pieces to really help tell the story. I loved the knife bit at the end.
