This sorta feels like a performance art piece, which is fine. Cinema takes all sorts of forms. The exposure of the image was not quite up the mark. I wasn't sure what the story of the piece was but the title seems accurate, it did feel like a dream. Since this contest was all about the lighting and composition, I wasn't able to give this film as high marks as I would have liked.

I can appreciate a creepy dream sequence. I like that you were able to make this video on your own and create an idea that was clear and attainable. I am not sure it was filmed in a Deakins way, but I admire your energy.

There's a lessons to be learned on this film about beat sheets. Your beat sheet for this film really is just 3 beats. A girl is dreaming. She takes some medicine that is all about her suffering. Then she wakes up. There's some depth there for sure but we as an audience don't get to see any of it. You've just scratched the surface of your story and if you were to dig quite a bit deeper I think you would have really uncovered something great. Keep working at it.

Making a creative decision and going all the way with it is a good characteristic to have and you've done that here but you needed to spend more time in development to really figure out what the story is. With this film, I wasn't able to really follow what you were going for from a story perspective. There's a story under the surface because of the medicine that she takes but I really wanted to know more about that. That's when your film started to get going for me and then it finished.

Your film certainly did have style and made some bold decisions but it was only a moment in a bigger story. Though you only have 3 minutes to tell a story you still need to have a beginning middle and an end or your audience won't stick with you. You can also just have your story take place in a dream and then wake up but you still need all the elements that make up the arc of a story. Nice use of props set decoration and lighting as crazy as it was. Keep making films.
