Soft But Good

average rating is 2.6 out of 5

I liked the soft focus pull at the opening. A few of the setups were soft (not in focus), which pulled me out of the story a bit. There was some interesting lighting on the interrogator that set him apart from the background. Well done. The reveal was good at the end as well. There were a couple of shots where the focus drifted in and out as the actor walked around. You should turn that autofocus feature off and operate it manually. I'll be super interested to see what this team does next

The Truth Will Out

average rating is 1.7 out of 5

I like the story quite a bit. The music was well chosen as well. The interrogation scene could have used a bit more stylistic lighting. The script wasn' bad and the concept behind it was great. I liked how you showed the truth in the end, well done. Still, the lighting could have had more attention paid to it.

Nice Pacing

average rating is 3.1 out of 5

Great film. A well developed story, nice job. On occasion your focus was off so it was a little distracting but you made it up with other elements. I really like your editing and the pacing you created. The end of the film was way better than the first. At the beginning you cut directly on their dialogue. Go back and recut your film but use J-cuts and L-cut (if you don't know these study them), so that you're not cutting directly on the dialogue. You will be amazed at the difference. Great job!

Great Build of Emotion!

Good job. You did a lot of things right. The lighting on the interrogator (half his face dark and half light) was great yet very flat on her (light both your subjects). Some great shots. You moved in closer to increase the tension and it worked quite well. The editing in the latter half of your film was nicely paced. Way to use music to really increase the tensions. You got close on many elements. You have potential. Just keep pushing yourself and you'll really be there. Keep making films!

good thing there were no security cameras

Nice job on trying to get Deakins look. It looks like you put a lot of thought into the script and the story idea.
