Okay, We Have A Winner

I thought this film had it all. A pretty decent story, competent actors... but the lighting is what caught my attention. This team seams to have taken some time and paid attention to what the mood of the piece was. They didn't just show up in the afternoon and shoot whatever the scene was. They waited for night and lit the scene the way they wanted and I really appreciate their care for the craft!

This Team Nailed It!

It think this film really took the cinematography - Part I prompt to heart. They really spent the time to achieve a mood with their lighting. Their setups also helped to break up the conversation into something much more interesting to watch. Well Done!

Was great lighting was terrific cons don’t put characters in center of frame put them on opposite sides of frame, inter lighting was excellent but next time stage your scene looking into the shadow side of faces

Nailed the Mood

average rating is 3.2 out of 5

The filmmakers of this project nailed the tone and mood very well. It is obvious they understood the tone that they were going for and hit it out of the park. I think it could have been a bit higher contrast but that's just a personal preference. There were interesting setups that made the conversation more interesting and it was more than just two people talking back and forth. Well done team! I'm looking forward to seeing what you do next.

A Little Shocked

average rating is 3.3 out of 5

This team has done a great job. The shots were well exposed and composed in an interesting fashion. Moreover, this team has really paid attention to the prompt of the challenge, which was to light a scene like Roger Deakins. The color grade was an added bonus, well done! There were a few audio issues and I think the contrast of the light and shadows could have been a bit harder, but I'm super impressed and a little shocked at how well this team did.

Lighting is the Key to Drama

I really like your effort here. Though the actings is a bit stiff and the editing could be a bit more polished I really like the effort you made in lighting your actors and the set. Each actor had a light and dark side to their faces which is what Roger Deacons would always make an effort to do. I like the use of practical lights and the light you had coming through the blinds that put a swath of broken up light on the wall. Keep honing your skills. You're off to a great start.

I like your use of lighting. I can tell you are going for the look of Deakins. Your preproduction effort shines in your film. I can tell this took a lot of work. Good job.
