Great Message
This has been a popular topic for PSAs for many years and will be for many more years to come. To be honest it doesn't feel like there was much effort put into this project. I could be wrong but it feels like someone had to turn in something so they slapped a few things together and called it good. This didn't showcase any real cinematography techniques at all. The actual writing wasn't bad and had some really great points but ultimately it drops the ball for the actual challenge requirement
All Good Points
The actor makes some great points. I didn't feel that the filmmaker spent too much time thinking about the cinematography. In the end, there was a double ask. I think you could lose one or the other. I think you could have had some really creative cinematography of a car crash or police lights and liquor bottles... something that would have visually helped your story along. The narration could have played over some of the visuals and it would help keep the audience's attention.
A Great Topic
This is, of course a great topic but in order to have people listen to your message you have to put forth more creativity and effort. If it's not visually interesting, the audience wont be interested in your message. Keep working at it.
More than Just Reading Needed
This is a very noble topic and you even have a great personal story that you shared that is impactful but by just reading on camera with a teleprompter nobody is going to listen to your message and therefor you miss effecting your audience.
B-Roll is Critical
You've chosen a great topic for a PSA but you have to make it interesting for people to watch. Just having the narrator standing and speaking to camera just isn't enough. What shots can you add that will help convince others of your topic. More effort is needed here.
