It's Hard to Get Mad at This
'Tis fine. Not particularly extraordinary, but it does what it needs to well enough. If anything, I wonder if a part of that is just down to hown simple it is. There's nothing wrong with that, of course, simplicity does not equate to quality one way or another, but I would be interested to see what a bigger project could entail. There was little to no room for any cinematography or writing skills to stretch.
psa for stol
no actors. camera was shakey. not very many shots.
A simple PSA that shows some potential skill
This PSA about wearing masks to prevent the spread of COVID is very short and simplistic. Almost all of the footage used in the PSA is made of B-roll of someone's backyard, with no connection to what the actor is saying. While there could've potentially been some symbolic use of the flowers to represent life in some fashion, this opportunity was missed, which in my opinion, is a major fault. However, this was a one-man film, so I can acknowledge the potential this director has in film.
Needs More Work
I feel like I was unable to really connect to the person talking in the film they just didn't really seem to be able to connect to the subject all to well. Same with the cinematography I feel like it was unable to really show what sorrow that I think was supposed to be felt in the film. Good attempt I just feel like you need to look more deeply into what would connect more through out.
Good Message
I think this film is very relevant, and has great facts to support the message and theme of the film. I think the music went well with the somber tone as well. Also the voice-over carried the theme. My advice for improving would be the video portion. The cinematography could have been improved because it didn't really match the subject of the video, and it distracts from the message. I think some info-graphics or relevant photos showing the effects of the virus would help keep the message clear
