Be a Critic Every film here was made by a student who took a risk. Your job is to engage with it seriously — rate the craft, write something honest, and mean it. Scores are blind until all reviewers are in. Nobody sees anything until everyone has spoken. That's the deal.

The Verdict Every score you see here was written without anyone knowing what the others would say. No groupthink. No piling on. Five independent voices, revealed all at once. Read the reviews, not just the numbers — that's where the real feedback lives.

Sound Makes The Difference

So much of your story was told in voice-over, which is all part of the sound design package. You did a great job. There were some nice little touches you added, which worked well. Keep writing and shooting stuff, and don't forget about sound! Good job!

I really like the effort you put into this film. I noticed in the credit that you were listed in all the roles so I applaud you for that dedication. You have some really good signs of potential. I can see that you are adding details: the sound effects, visual effects along with others. One thing you could do a little more of is getting coverage so that when you have a longer conversation you're able to cut between cameras to extend the time or shorten you story. It helps avoid jump cuts.
Nice Effort with Your Development and Preplanning

It's clear to see that you've spend some time in development and preproduction writing your script and planning out how you're going to execute on that plan. I liked your added sound effects and I like the use of voice over. I could have used a little more responses of the father during the phone call but you started to really get those responses in at the end of the call. A very good effort. Keep going with making films.
A Creative Challenge for You

I've seen your films on each challenge and your films are getting better and better so congratulations. So, I want to give you a challenge. Really plan out each shot even if it's just a shot list so that every shot has a purpose (unlike the first shot that pans over to towards the door which doesn't have a whole lot of purpose) then get more coverage: either set up 2 cameras on each scene or shoot the scene twice from different angles. Last: edit tighter. Trim the heads and tails of each shot.
Keep Up The Effort

I'm watching your films and they're getting better with every film you make. Make sure you watch the length of your films if you're wanting them to not be disqualified in the contests. 3minutes is what they need to be. Now to some notes, I want to see you tighten up your edits. You don't need to be so long on your shots. Often times there's 10 or even 20 seconds on a shot that could be trimmed off. Simply doing that will make a bid difference to your films.
