Cute And Very Nora Ephron

The performances in this little film started out a little shaky but they get on track pretty quickly. The kid playing video games seems to have brought out a better performance from his co-star. I actually really liked the lighting in the bedroom. I like how simply they kept the setups and just let the scenes play out, very Nora Ephron-like. There are a few bumps here and there but it works. Nice work.

Latte to Go

You've got a nice concept here and you had a great camera move at the beginning (a little shaky but you've got the right idea). Your set up in the bedroom is was even nice with the lighting you had going on there. You've got the starts of doing something great, you just have to take those details and polish them. More attention to details is needed. Make sure you're getting coverage of your scenes because you're stuck with the performances you get in the take. Rehearse too to help your actors.

It's All There And It Works

This team did a bang up job making their film. This is no easy task. Making movies is seriously hard work and to get it really good takes talent, time and money. I really appreciate how this team used actual locations rather than trying to set something up in their classroom. The editing needs to be tightened up quite a bit and the audio needs some work, but the story is all there and it works.

Location Location Location

Your film is a great example of what choosing a great location can do for your film. You could have played this scene out in the school cafeteria and acted like it was a coffee shop but you didn't. You found a great location and because of that your production value went through the roof. Great colors in the wood, very warm etc. Nice work there. Make sure that next time you take more time to rehearse your actors. Really get their performances polish. Nice effort though. I enjoyed your film.
