Very well done

Sound design and mix was done really well and was the first thing I noticed. Fun and fresh take on a “letters from the grave” film. I really liked the creative transitions that were executed flawlessly. Bravo!
I have one suggestion or critique. See what happens to the film if you remove most of the narration. I felt all the elements were there to tell the story visually and in my mind could make the story a little more powerful.

Excellent Work

I really loved your film. I have to admit that I needed to watch it a couple times to take it all in but that's not a bad thing. I really loved your editing style. Way to really move the story along with your editing. And great composition shot with the mail dropping off scene. Your wider shots, at the cemetery and the lake went a little flat on you but that's being really picky. The only place that I would have like to have seen a little work was the acting. Rehearsal would have solved it.

loss and hope

The water imagery, the revery, the letters, created a powerful feeling of grief and confusion that really matches surviving a hard loss. Beautiful work.

Stuck In The Ground Is Top Notch

I loved the opening title card and the reflection in the water. Your cinematography was really strong! Great use of depth of field. The music came in at the most perfect moment! Great Job! A couple of moments didn't quite work, but even those were shot well. This is a strong contender we have here and I think if these students keep it up, they are going to find themselves making really good films for a living.
