This is a tried and true love story for sure, but It's also very difficult to pull off in a believable way. I think the acting could have been more polished. The characters felt stiff and distant, not like two people in love. The setups were basic and very Nora Ephron-like, which I appreciated. My biggest advice would be to write material that matches the age of your actors. It's one of the most difficult things to believe actors who aren't yet adults and place them into adult roles.

You have a nice concept that has the potential to really create some emotions between characters but the acting really struggles and causes the story story suffer because of that. When the acting isn't working you have to really work and rehearse the actors with the lines to help really polish the performances. It will make a huge difference. Also don't forget to polish your audio so that it's even throughout the film.

This was a difficult film to pull off. There were several different locations with teenage actors portraying characters in an adult situation. This is a really hard thing to make work. My biggest bump came when the girl is left by her man and only then does she pick the other guy. He won by default. I really feel like she should have been more proactive and stood up for herself, picking the one she loved the most.

The strongest thing this film had going for it was the acting. The writing was looking pretty strong but then the girl in the end got dumped and then turned to the other guy. Something didn't feel right about that. But I come back to the acting. It's not easy for audiences to buy a teenager playing an adult, but these students did about as good a job as I've ever seen someone do in that situation. I'm interested to see what they make next.
