Charlie!!!!!
Good story. Kept us going until the very end.
Charlies Call -
Auto Focus - some frames are out of focus -
Color Correct - balance out your lighting in the room/hallway / etc. and outside -
Stabilize your panning shots.
Audio clear
I liked that you used some outside elements - It is a great big world out there...use that to your advantage
Static On the Line
The film had some nice moments but editing really got in the way of building the suspense. Aesthetics of the film played nice with the theme. Performances were good. Music was appropriate although sound was very uneven. Story was good but gotcha moment was contrived. The choice of snapping to black instead of showing reaction of actress at end was curious.
Charlies Call Review
Charlies Call has a good story line. it has good flow to it and is engaging. the camera work needs some polishing and the audio has some rough spots. good use of the depth of field and the exterior night shots have some good color pop. please remember your team number attached to the video or description
Intriguing but needs story clarity
I loved your location at the ferris wheel. It’s always best to go outside and explore your environment instead of using indoor spaces.
Your movie had intrigue, meaning I wanted to know what happens next, and a surprise ending. However, the story didn’t come full circle. The conversation in the first scene about dad and his new girlfriend needed a resolution at the end. How did the brother die? Was he poisoned? Did he try to kill the girlfriend? Mom should tell us what happened.
Charlie Nails It!
This is fine example of what you can do when you keep it simple. I loved how the script had some little hidden gems that gave us some back story here and there. A few of the cuts could be tightened up and there were a handful of under exposed shots. That out of the way, THE NIGHT SHOTS WERE FABULOUS! Well done, DP! I didn't see the end coming, which for a thriller genre, is a must. A solid submission from top to bottom.
