Lucid
In 2039, a man suffering from a variety of mental illnesses that make him unfocused and paranoid has locked himself away in his apartment. His doctor gives him an experimental form of treatment in the form of a chip that can be inserted into a port in his neck. This tech quickly turns out to be a very unsafe prototype, causing the chip to negatively affect his mind to a severe degree.

The Verdict Every score you see here was written without anyone knowing what the others would say. No groupthink. No piling on. Five independent voices, revealed all at once. Read the reviews, not just the numbers — that's where the real feedback lives.

This project has a really interesting premise and the acting was quite good, better than most. The cinematography was a bit underexposed, which was disappointing. The story is quite simple and effective. I could hardly hear the dialogue however.
Still, I really enjoyed seeing where you took this concept, since it's not all that far technically from the future we are headed towards.

Promising story even though thematic elements were not very present. Edits were good although a little basic. Effects helped and did not get in the way. Sound was a little soft. Hard to hear the music, even though appropriate, became a distraction. Some dialogue was lost. Lighting, however basic, was not a distraction. Acting was consistent. Nice variety of camera work.

The editing and camera work needs attention. better use of practical and foreground lighting to separate the actor from the bright and dark backdrops of the window will greatly enhance the look and feel of this short. Audio is too quiet at some points.
