Lights - GOOD
Lighting - Great
Concept - GREAT
Story - Good - Simple
Cinematography - Great
30 seconds to get to your point is a little long - took too much time - think 10 seconds for the viewer.
probably would have left the nail clicking out .. looked like a filler in between scenes.
Good use of your resources subway - lighting - aquarium lighting - and the end lighting - thinking outside of the box (and not all of it in your hotel area and/or room)
The actor did not say anything at all during the film.
Need a little more light
The premise of the film had promise. Edits were distracting and disrupted the suspense. Music was appropriate but sound effects were out of place. Not sure what the thing was and where it came from or what it had to do with the camera issues. Liked the use of the aquarium, would have enjoyed more filming from there. Perhaps the story could have been filmed entirely there which could have tied everything in.
Don't Go To The Light
I think I get where you were heading, but for me it missed the the plot line. Some great moments of anxiety and stalking but many questions... if you went from her turning off the light to all going back on to the end shot ... brilliant. Maybe if you added an extra element(s) of light through her random visit to an aquarium and taking the subway to create a through line? Solid idea here, just needs more story integration. Additional sound editing possibly by giving the "light" a distinct voice?
Lights Review
This short is on to something. With better cinematography and more dialogue. you could have a real winner here. Nice use of practical lighting. keep in mind the need for more key lighting to help offset a bright backdrop. the red lighting at the end adds a nice touch but needs to be motivated. think of instead of having it on, that it is triggered by the event and not letting the viewers know what's about to happen. keep sharp focus in mind when shooting scenes with low lighting.
A good run away
This film was a fun ride. Good use of lights at the end and very nice cinematography. Please watch your audio and video transitions, they could use a little work. Also, dialog or a narrator could have help us with the story here.
