Be a Critic Every film here was made by a student who took a risk. Your job is to engage with it seriously — rate the craft, write something honest, and mean it. Scores are blind until all reviewers are in. Nobody sees anything until everyone has spoken. That's the deal.

The Verdict Every score you see here was written without anyone knowing what the others would say. No groupthink. No piling on. Five independent voices, revealed all at once. Read the reviews, not just the numbers — that's where the real feedback lives.

I liked the lighting of this project. You really tried to tell the story with light and I appreciate your efforts. I also thought the editing was nicely done. You also paid attention to sound design and that added so much. Night shoots are really hard to light well, and I commend you on that as well. Great job!
Great story, but ended up being a Big PSA

This would have been so much stronger with a different ending. The informational slides at the end made it feel like a PSA.

This short was very very well done, I like the fact that you used adult actors for the story and shot it very well for it being night time out. Great job!

Good Story to drive home a very real issue. Overall some ambient background noise issues, sound was very uneven, especially with voice overs which also cause some lip sync issues. Story was a tad unbalanced. Not sure where the radio voice originated from. Interesting choice of editing the phone convo with husband.

I like your concept here. I was a bit confused when the other girl got in her car. I was thinking for some reason it was the girl that we were tracking in the story. One way to catch this is to screen your film for a few people and ask for their thoughts. Being close to the story and footage you likely wouldn't see it. Other than that, you did a nice job.
