Be a Critic Every film here was made by a student who took a risk. Your job is to engage with it seriously — rate the craft, write something honest, and mean it. Scores are blind until all reviewers are in. Nobody sees anything until everyone has spoken. That's the deal.

The Verdict Every score you see here was written without anyone knowing what the others would say. No groupthink. No piling on. Five independent voices, revealed all at once. Read the reviews, not just the numbers — that's where the real feedback lives.

The filmmakers for this project really demonstrated some great ideas in this film. I think the script could have been polished a bit more. I wasn't quite sure if her parents were dead or alive in the end. But the change in color, and the memories transitions were well executed. The one coming off the tail light of the car was great.

Nice job. I really enjoyed seeing the thought process that you put into your short film from the technical aspects: the transitions were well thought out, the interior lighting was great (especially in the flashbacks), the sound design and more. The notes I would give you would be to take a little more time to rehears or do your shots until you're really happy with the acting. The acting in your flashbacks were the best. I enjoyed seeing all your casting choices. Nice work.

There is a lot to like with this film. A lot was packed into a short package and was edited really well. Some of the images were a tad redundant, but very effective. Music and performances coincided well. Camera work, especially in the beginning was very well done. A lot of technique used creatively.

I appreciated how you thought through your shots. The transitions into the past and back were handled with a bit of forethought. You cinematography was sometimes great - and other times almost great. The DP on this project has a good eye.

Great job on the cinematography. You used a lot of technical options to tell your story. I also liked how you used color to indicate the feelings of the character.
