Cute Story

average rating is 1.6 out of 5

I think the story here was very cute but felt a bit too saccharine for my tastes. The students obviously tried to use some lighting, which was great, but it sometimes ended up looking like stage lighting. The acting was decent, but wasn't believable. This could have been from the saccharine script that was just a bit over the top.

Not A Bad Little Film - I Liked It

average rating is 1.6 out of 5

This project is sorta sweet. There are some technical issues to overcome with the cinematography, but the story is quite sweet and thoughtfully executed. I'm not sure quite why, but I didn't feel as much as I would have liked for the characters. I wish I could nail this down, but it's a rather illusive thing.

Nice Use of Lighting

average rating is 1.9 out of 5

I liked your use of lighting. I think you could have technically exposed the film a little better so each shot matched throughout your scenes. The writing was a little stiff, which made the acting suffer a bit. But it's a solid effort and way better than most high school films I see.

Love The Title

average rating is 1.8 out of 5

Drifted is a good title for what happens in this film. Two people just drifting apart as high school ends and real life begins. It happens to everyone, and that is a useful aspect of this project. It's audience could be very, very wide. The acting and cinematography are plagued with some issues like bad exposures or semi-convincing performances from time-to-time, which drags it's score down. But I really appreciate these filmmakers and their efforts to tell a story that is so universal.

Drifted Floats High

average rating is 2 out of 5

I liked the double meaning in the title. I also appreciated that you told a story that is age appropriate - meaning that you know this story and it's something that young people your age go through. All too often young filmmakers attempt to tell stories that are beyond their life experience and it never quite hits the mark. You did a good job of expressing your story.
